We’re advancing equitable community change

The Urban Equity Collaborative organizes and supports diverse forms of community action and knowledge that challenges inequality, contributes to public debate, informs community action, and advances policy changes that positively impacts marginalized communities. We employ collaborative processes that include and center community members, needs, and interests.

Our Mission

UEC’s mission is to strengthen community-based institutions, leaders, and advocacy around critical issues of urban inequality, and to incubate and disseminate durable research and policy strategies that shift power towards economic, racial, and gender justice and communities on the frontlines of struggle.

Leadership Team

The UEC is led by scholars with expertise in issues of urban dispossession and displacement, including quality affordable housing, immigrants rights, and small business displacement.
