Our Goals

To build an inclusive and integrative space that connects the UEC and the University of Maryland to community advocates, social movements, and neighborhood organizations.

To foster mutual learning, understanding and sharing of knowledge and resources among community fellows, students, and scholars that leads to a rethinking of direct-action research, public discourse, and intellectual production.

To establish continued relationships that support activists, community organizations, and leaders in their research, activism, and work. By putting community first, we amplify community work, power and voice.
